Sea Turtles
After a life-changing trip to Hawaii where I swam with the incredible green sea turtles, I decided that I wanted to create sea turtles figurines. The turtle is a powerful symbol for connection to Mother Earth and to approach life bravely and it was definitely helping me in my personal life. Therefore I decided to donate 10% of each sea turtle sold, to the Pacific Whale Foundation, who took me on that amazing snorkeling cruise a few years ago. Pacific Whale Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 1980 that is dedicated to protecting the ocean through science and advocacy, and inspiring environmental stewardship. In the name of all large sea animals and Mother Earth I like to thank you for purchasing one of my sea turtles. These turtles are metal cold casted in gypsum in bronze, copper brass/aluminum or silver finished with acrylics. $50 each. To purchase contact me or visit the Glass Roots Inc Canada in Riverview, NB
The Medicine Man
A Letter of Appreciation & Blessings
I created this piece to express my gratitude and respect for all Mi’kmaq elders – both men and women, who are so lovingly and generously guiding us with their teachings and medicines. My elders guided me during the creation of this piece, to make sure the powerful symbolism it holds is true to the Mi’kmaq traditions and beliefs. When I presented the first reproduction to Grandmother Jeorgina Larocque, she approved and blessed the sculpture. I therefore promise myself that for every purchase of a reproduction, a percentage of the sale will be returned to the Mi’kmaq community. It is my prayer that the reproductions of the Medicine Man will bring joy, love, healing and many blessings to all who get to enjoy it. May the spirit of the Medicine Man sculpture heal the divide and bring cultures closer together. Wela’lin (Thank you)
Testimonial
“To me The Green Man represents that wonderful relationship between the plant world and men. Because we have been put here together, when I looked at this one that Lidia did; what I saw in his face was hope. Some of the ones I saw in the past when I looked online looked very disparaging and negative and fearful but this… this is Hope!”
